Most investment property comes in larger sizes and of course with larger prices. Often times you will be looking at a hotel conversion into condos, a commercial or industrial parcel that can be subdivided or a large tract of land that could become a housing development. Occasionally you may find a small lot that can be subdivided or built into 3 or more condos. There are fewer building codes in Guadalajara (compared to the US) which means more opportunity for the creative buyers. But the government is passing new laws every year to contain the growth so within a decade we will see a similar scenario to the US where permits and opportunity become more difficult to obtain.
