Most investment property comes in larger sizes and of course with larger prices. Often times you will be looking at a hotel conversion into condos, a commercial or industrial parcel that can be subdivided or a large tract of land that could become a housing development. Occasionally you may find a small lot that can be subdivided or built into 3 or more condos. There are fewer building codes in Mexico City-Federal District (compared to the US) which means more opportunity for the creative buyers. But the government is passing new laws every year to contain the growth so within a decade we will see a similar scenario to the US where permits and opportunity become more difficult to obtain.
